Her Fantasy Wedding

Her fantasy Wedding

She looked into the mirror and smiled standing tall on her crutches. The mirror was tall as she was so that she could see herself fully in it, even the edge of her pink covering her left foot.

Her left leg was in a Fiberglas pink cast from the toes to the top her leg. Dislocated and broken ankle, broken fib and tib and femur will do it.

She looked beautiful that day. Why shouldn't she? She was going to live her deepest fantasy of getting married while using crutches for a full leg cast.

All brides look beautiful on their wedding day. Her dress was of the purest white with a bell hoop skirt that came out from her waist and slowly went down to the floor in a bell shape. The top slowly dipped down in a slight curve so that it slightly showed off her wonderful cleavage.

She looked stunning on her crutches. Having bee on them before she was a pro. Good thing, her cast was bent at 80 degree at the knee.

Her hair was up in a high ponytail with soft curls flowing down and around her face. Her headpiece was also adorned with roses and sat as a crown around her head. She had long flowing netted tulle serving to cover her face. She hadn't put the top layer over her
face yet.

She just stood there moving her cast and squeezing her crutches, smiling and staring. She could not believe how gorgeous she looked or that it was her wedding day.

"Sophie," said a man's voice trembling, "you look so beautiful, my baby."

Sophie turned around to see her dad.

"Daddy," softly whispered Sophie, as she crutched up to her dad,

"I'll always be your little girl. Marrying Danny will not change things. I will always be your little girl no matter what. Once a daddy's little girl, always a daddy's little girl."

Doug, Sophie's father, just smiled. She always knew what to say to him. She was his cheer me upper when he needed her to be, which wasn't a lot. He made sure of that.

"Dear" said her father, "I’m so sorry you had to break your leg. You look fantastic crutches or not but …you know"

"Oh dad, don’t worry some day we may be able to talk about this again but I really don’t mind" she said

"I want a picture of you two alone," said Sophie's mother, Allie, just then.

Sophie and Doug stood together, She dropped her crutches and used her father for support standing on her good leg. Sophie's arm was through her father's as if he was about to walk her down the aisle. Both stood smiling. Doug kept taking glances at her through the corner of his eye.

"I can't believe my baby is all grown up and I'm giving her away today," thought
Doug.

"Is everyone ready?" asked a tall blonde woman.

"Yes" everyone replied.

"Then its time for Doug to get the show on the road!" the woman excitedly said.

This woman was Maria, the woman Danny and Sophie had hired to help them put on
their wedding day. Their special day was in her hands, the wedding coordinators
hands. After her skydiving accident nearly 4 months ago, Sophie had been very busy with the rehabilitation of her shattered leg. Still many months to go but it was on the right track. All the new technology saved her leg.

Her ankle was twisted almost 90 degrees, totally dislocated. The leg was twisted like a pretzel. She was moaning something that only her could hear between the pain and shock and yes pleasure.

"Oh God I think I finally broke my leg again" She said laughing until she tried to move.

"Please help me….Anybody….my leg" She moan in agony

Sophie walked towards the door on her crutches that leads them to the door into the
hallway. They walked up the hallway to the door that would allow them to enter
into the church. Sophie glanced at her father.

"Ready gimps?" asked Jane, Sophie's maid of honor, also her little sister.

"Absolutely," replied Sophie with a wide smile on her beautiful painted face.

The music started and Sophie's four bridesmaids walked down the aisle accompanied
by their respected groomsmen. Then came the flower girl.

The music soon changed from a beautiful processional music to hear comes the
bride.

"It's time Daddy," Sophie whispered to her father while pushing forward her cast to see her toes one last time at the end of the pink cast before moving in .

With a smile and a look at each other, they began to walk in unison down the aisle. Sophie looked straight ahead not to slip on her crutches. She wanted to feel all the looks of her friends and family looking at her on crutches.

Her smile grew even bigger. Danny was gorgeous in his black tuxedo. He was tall and handsome.

Danny was as handsome as ever. His black tuxedo did him justice. His grey vest
that she had helped him pick out was straight underneath his jacket. He had a
grey handkerchief in his pocket. He stood tall and smiling. He looked back at
his best man.

"She's so beautiful," they whispered

Soon, Doug and Sophie had reached the end of the aisle. Sophie was very agile on her crutches

She was standing next to her fiancé, soon to be her husband. Her smile shone radiantly.

"Good evening everyone," started the pastor.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to the wedding ceremony of Ms. Sophie to Mr. Daniel. I am about to start the process to join these two in holy matrimony. If anyone does not think these two should be married, speak now or forever hold their peace."

Sophie turned towards her audience on her crutches and her cast showed for all to see for just a few seconds. Her perfect long toes at the end of the cast.

"Alright," said the pastor, "let's get this show on the road so that this lovely woman can rest her broken leg!"

Everyone laughed at that.

"Who gives this woman away?" asked the pastor.

"Her mother and I do," replied Doug. Doug turned towards Sophie and kissed her. He
put her veil back over her face, just as she had asked him to. She wanted to stay veiled throughout the ceremony and have her husband lift her veil when he went to give her their first kiss as a married couple.

As the pastor spoke the words, Danny and Sophie looked deeply into each others
eyes. This was the day they had been waiting for. It felt like an eternity would
come before their day would come, but it had finally come. They would soon be
husband and wife. Nothing could ever be compared to this day. They smiled to
each other knowing that in just a few minutes, they will be husband and wife.

"I do," responded Sophie happily moving slightly on her crutches.

"I definitely do," responded Danny merrily.

The audience laughed at his response.

Sophie’s mother took her crutches and her father was used for support. Danny took the ring that was for Sophie off the bible. He took her left hand and slipped the ring onto the tip of Sophie's left ring finger. He then looked up at the pastor waiting for the words that he would repeat as he slipped the ring fully onto Sophie's finger.

"Now, with this done, It is now my pleasure, to pronounce you husband and wife. Danny, you may now kiss your bride!"

Danny waited with no further instructions. He lifted Sophie's veil and, with his arms around her waist, kissed her deeply, passionately, and lovingly. Sophie kissed just as deeply back, sending her love for him through her kiss. Their audience erupted in applause and whistles as the couple kissed.

When Sophie and Danny finished their first kiss, which did not last too long since
Her good leg was getting tired and she needed help from her crutches for support, they turned back towards the pastor and her mom gave her back the crutches.

"It is now my pleasure to present to you," sang the pastor out loud

The audience erupted in applause. Danny and Sophie walked down the aisle towards
the door that Sophie had just crutched through earlier as a bachlorette. When they
got through the doors, they stepped aside and smiled at each other. She was
finally married and done it on crutches. The day they had waited for had finally come. They can now begin their lives together as a married couple. Their new lives were just
beginning. Maybe one day she would open up o him but until them she had you to chat with on AIM about cast and crutches.

The end
